Cindy Stulac named 2024 Friends of Jack Foundation Volunteer of the Year

We are excited to name Cindy Stulac as our Volunteer of the Year for 2024!

Cindy has been the Volunteer Organizer for our Annual Celebration for the past few years, and has been involved in the event for more than five years. She is instrumental in leading our group of volunteers during the event, while also assisting in registration, selling Diamond Draw tickets and other crucial tasks throughout the night.

"Cindy is as solid of a volunteer as I have ever worked with in my career," said Peter Cohenno, Executive Director of the Friends of Jack. "We have just two full-time staff at the Friends of Jack, so volunteers are incredibly important. There is really nothing better for me than to have a volunteer like Cindy that I trust like she is a long-time employee. Each year at the Annual Celebration, I hand over several of the critical jobs for the event, and I have complete confidence that she will take care of everything."

Prior to the pandemic, Cindy organized a fundraiser at a painting studio in her hometown of Milford. Families painted ceiling tiles that were later placed in the pediatric emergency room at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. In addition to specific duties, Cindy is always one of the first to make a new introduction and connection for the organization, and is a faithful ambassador throughout her community.

"We are grateful to Cindy for her commitment to the Friends of Jack," said Cohenno. "We are so happy to be able to show our appreciation with this recognition."

In addition to being named Volunteer of the Year, Cindy will receive an invitation to be a part of our Advisory Board.
