Sarah Holbrook
Board Member, Friends of Jack Foundation

Sarah Holbrook is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and board certified Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She became a nurse in 2003 and then a nurse practitioner in 2019. She has worked in several different areas of nursing, however, found her niche in the PACU prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. She worked at Saint Anne’s Hospital for several years before taking a pause to stay home with her children and complete her doctorate. She returned to her practice in 2021 as a primary care provider for Southcoast and was also a part-time lecturer at UMASS Dartmouth, in the DNP program. In 2022 she made the decision to stay home again after becoming pregnant with her fourth child.She has served on the Board of Directors for the New Bedford Women’s Center since 2019. She has a deep love of nursing and medicine and is particularly interested in the areas of adolescent and women’s health, mental health, and addiction. She is looking forward to returning to her career once her youngest child goes to preschool, but feels deep gratitude for having been able to be present for so much at home. Sarah has been married to her husband James for 14 years. They have 4 remarkable children and an adorable Great Pyrenees. She is an avid skier and loves spending time with her family at their home up North. When she’s not in the mountains, she can’t be too far from the ocean.
