Peter Cohenno was named the Executive Director of the Friends of Jack Foundation in May 2021, and has served on the Board of Directors since it was formed in 2019.

Peter previously was a Senior Media Relations Specialist for the Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorder Center; managing all media relations efforts for the nation’s top ranked pediatric oncology program.

He has also served as the Public Information Officer for Southcoast Health, and spent parts of his career as a member of the media relations staffs of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and New England Patriots. Peter also worked for the Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation as Associate Director, and has been a member if its Board of Directors since 2011.

Following graduation from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where he played varsity football and baseball, Peter was a copy editor and reporter for his hometown newspaper, the Taunton Daily Gazette, in Taunton, Massachusetts.

Peter currently lives in Needham, MA, with his wife and two children. He is also the founder of PRC Communications Group. Peter was elected as to Needham Town Meeting in 2020, and is a member of Citizens for Needham Schools and the Newman Elementary School PTC.
